5. CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Caring for your Nanotek PPF is easy. Simply follow the steps below:

  • After film installation, wait one week before washing, waxing or driving your vehicle on the motorway or in rain, to help ensure proper adhesion of the film has been achieved.
  • If a high pressure washer is used, it should be kept at least 60cm away from the edge of the film. Edge peeling off as a result of high pressure washing will not be covered under the warranty.
  • Keep your vehicle clean and wash it at least once every 2 weeks and immediately after a rain.
  • Avoid dry dusting of your vehicle. This can result in deterioration of the self-healing ability of the film.
  • Grime build up on edges should be cleaned periodically using a clay bar.
  • A wax or spray sealant recommended by the installer should be applied at least every 2 months.
  • Use waxes that do not contain dyes, abrasive polishes and/or rubbing compounds.
  • Do not use automatic or commercial car washes.
  • After waxing your car, you can remove any wax build-up along film edges with a lint-free cloth.
  • Follow the maintenance schedule given by your installer.
